Ballad of Seasons
The fall delights now turn to cold,
the skies so blue now fade to grey.
The orange and black replaced with green and red,
the sun goes down and dark becomes the day.
Spring sunsets pink are dipped in gold,
storms of May, the thunder from North it rolled.
Such gloom and darkness fades away,
standing back to let rain have its say.
Keen summer sun melts away sadness old,
keeps hostage rain and keeps the clouds at bay.
Kids man stands where lemonade is sold,
Kitchen towel soaked upon my head.
Last rays tease us, the school bell has tolled.
Lazy stares, not really hearing what was said,
looking at the clock in wait
Three Haiku's
Pop can in the street:
oozing in the summer sun.
Green and sticky, ew.
Snowing gracefully
frozen in soliloquy:
O child of Winter.
I sing of the leaves:
despairs crunch beneath my feet,
always, tomorrow.
Such time have we to steal this darkest hour,
adorned with stars the sky it is bedecked.
My love for you it blooms just like a flower,
it sleeps within my heart and grows unchecked.
This love between us now is but a seed,
I long for what the summer sweet shall bring.
Without this warmth our hearts alone shall bleed,
To you of all the moonlit nights I sing.
The others I have loved left but a trace,
But you, my love, depict a blood-red rose.
It withers not, it's shield our love and grace,
an emblem of our souls entwined it grows.
A toast to love for which no one else cares,
our joy lives on, we banish all despairs.

Holding onto the rest of you,
if only you could see
the whole picture.
The hands that hold me, my head up.
The mouth that takes my heart when it slips from my own
on my tongue,
my soul and yours.
If only you saw.
Theyre choking you.
I cringe when I feel my neck prickle.
Youre face is tight
and I dont like it.
I remember the night
on my couch when you cried.
He deflated you.
You wiped your face for the kids.
I remember I loved you more.
Your smile is crystalline,
the shattered cracks in your teeth.
If only you knew the way you think.
Youre swell.
The way youre supposed to be.
